The brief
After Hours imagines a small hospitality concept shaped around unhurried evenings and conversations that run a little longer. The brief was to create a recognizable personality without the familiar vocabulary of nightlife: neon, loud graphics or an overly polished sense of exclusivity.
A point of view
The central idea was the transition between one state and another. Warm desert imagery, fading light and dark surfaces establish that atmosphere before a word is read. The identity is designed to feel intimate enough for a printed invitation and confident enough for a large exterior sign.
The design language
A compact typographic system pairs expressive serif headlines with precise supporting information. Generous spacing gives the name room to breathe, while a restrained palette of ink, sand and copper carries the concept across different formats. Photography supplies emotion; typography supplies continuity.
From research to a system
The exploration moved from a visual research board to three identity routes, then into a single system tested at different scales. Menu covers, event announcements and a mobile landing page were used as practical checks. Each application asks the same question: can the atmosphere survive when the composition becomes very simple?
What the concept includes
The final concept includes a wordmark direction, color and type rules, a photography brief and example layouts for print and digital use. Repeated margins and a consistent treatment of dates make the supporting pieces feel connected without forcing every composition into the same template.
About this demo
This fictional case study demonstrates an atmosphere-led identity process. No client launch or business metrics are claimed. The images are stock visual references, selected to communicate tone; replace them with actual identity applications, process images and project evidence when adapting the template.
