DELIVERABLES
Image direction, composition studies, campaign concept
The brief
Still Objects imagines an image-led campaign for a small collection of everyday ceramics. The creative brief was to make familiar forms feel considered and desirable through proportion, light and arrangement, rather than relying on elaborate settings or decorative props.
A point of view
The concept treats each object as part of a conversation. Differences in height, curvature and surface create relationships that can be read immediately, while small shifts in the composition offer a reason to look again. Empty space becomes an active part of the image.
The design language
The direction favors soft light, limited color and materials with a visible texture. A restrained graphic layer leaves room for the objects to carry the personality. Supporting typography is deliberately quiet, supplying names and details without interrupting the visual balance.
From research to a system
Composition studies moved between a single object, a paired arrangement and a small group. The campaign system was considered across a wide image, a portrait crop and a square tile, so the art direction could remain recognizable when the available format changed.
What the concept includes
The final concept brings together an image selection, crop guidance, a simple color system and layouts for an editorial launch. The emphasis is on a repeatable visual principle rather than a single hero image that is difficult to extend.
About this demo
This is a fictional art-direction exercise using stock still-life references. It does not claim product design, commissioned photography or a commercial launch. Replace the references with your own shoot, object credits and process documentation when adapting the case study.
